The finale of the France Poker Tour has finally happened, and it was indeed a beautiful poker day at the most beautiful poker room in Europe: the Aviation Club de France.

118 players from all over France came to Paris to compete for the crown of "French Poker Champion". Amateur players, who had qualified through online satellites at Everest Poker and through live satellites throughout France, had the opportunity to play against – and beat! - Some of the best French poker players. Celebrity French players at the tournament included Bruno Fitoussi, Pascal Perrault, Isabelle Mercier and Jan Boubli.

After more than 8 hours of intense play, only one player remained, and we were able to name our new French Poker Champion: Yohan Mullemeester! Yohan used his big stack to outplay 2nd place finisher Arnaud Grumiaux and 3rd place finisher Loic Dubois. These 3 players qualified through live satellites, but the internet qualifiers played quite well, with 20% finishing in the money.

The French Poker Tour is a series of free tournaments, culminating in a €20,000 freeroll at the famous Aviation Club De France in Paris on January 14, 2006 at 2pm local time. There, qualifiers and famous French professionals will compete not only for money, but also for the title of French National Champion!

Live Qualifers: Free tournaments are running from September to December at 15 local clubs throughout France. The winner of each tournament wins a seat to the final in Paris! Online Qualifiers: You can also win a spot right here at Everest Poker. There are two ways you can win:

Freerolls: Everest Poker will be hosting six freerolls, on October 22nd, November 5th, November 19th, December 3rd, December 10th and December 17th. The winner of each tournament wins a seat in the final in Paris! *

Frequent Play: The qualified players with the most hands played in each of October, November and December will each win a seat in the final! Note that eligible hands are raked hands played at No Limit and Pot Limit tables with $.25/$.25 stakes or higher, or Limit tables with $.50/$1 stakes or higher. Tournament hands are ineligible for promotion.
