The WSOP Steps are a series of progressive Sit & Go tournaments. Starting at just $3 or 750 Summit Points, you can earn yourself a seat at the World Series of Poker 2009 Main Event or the final $1500 Side Event by winning your way up the steps.
How do I climb the WSOP Steps?
- Register and play in any WSOP Steps tournament - you can start at Step 1 or jump in higher up the ladder.
- Finish in 1st or 2nd place and win a WSOP Steps token to buy-in to the next step.
- Even if you do not win, a strong finish will give you a chance to replay the same step or the opportunity to restart your climb one step lower.
- A 1st or 2nd place finish in Step 4 will give you the choice of continuing your climb to the Main Event through Step 5 or playing for a seat in a $1500 Side Event.*
Don't want to start at WSOP Step 1? You can also buy-in directly at any level and begin your climb to the WSOP.
To register for any WSOP Steps Sit & Go tournaments, simply login into your Everest Poker account and select the WSOP tab located under the Sit & Go section in the Lobby.

Everest Poker is now offering you the chance to jump a step for as little as $3.
WSOP Step Jumpers are regularly scheduled tournaments which give you the chance to skip a WSOP Step on the way to winning your seat at the World Series of Poker.
For example, if you win an $11 + 1 WSOP Step Jumper, you will receive a WSOP Step 4 token and “jump over” Step 3.
With the same buy-in as our WSOP Steps Sit & Go tournaments, you can get more for your money with our WSOP Step Jumpers. And just like the WSOP Steps, you can buy-in at any level.
WSOP Step Jumpers can be found under the WSOP tab in the Scheduled Tournaments section in the Everest Poker Lobby.

Important notes:
- WSOP Steps Tokens are valid only for entry into WSOP Tournaments.
- WSOP Steps Tokens are not transferrable to other players.
- WSOP Steps Tokens are not redeemable for cash or any other value.
- All tournaments will allow buy-in by using cash, WSOP Step Tokens, and Summit Points. Players can also buy into WSOP Step 2 with a Bronze Token+ $1.
- WSOP Side Event Steps tournaments will run until June 7, 2009.
- All unused WSOP Steps Tokens will expire on June 14, 2009. Any unused WSOP Steps tokens will be converted into Summit Points.
