showhide_answer My computer is a Mac. Can I still download your software?

To play at Everest Poker from a non-Windows machine, you can use a program called a Windows Emulator or a Virtual Machine. Installing a Windows Emulator will enable you to download, install, and play at Everest Poker.

Another option is to use a software application that will allow you to run Windows on your Mac Computer. Please see: http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/

showhide_answer How can I uninstall the Everest Poker software?

To remove the program, please follow these instructions:

1. Go to your computer’s Start menu and select Programs.

2. From Programs, select the software you wish to remove and choose the option Uninstall Software.

If you decide to re-install our software at a later date, you can simply download it again from our site.

showhide_answer I cannot install/start the poker software. What do I do?

We are sorry to know that you are experiencing troubles downloading our software. Our technical staff suggests that you try the following:

  • Firewall

Your computer may be behind a firewall.  If you are running Windows XP SP2, or you installed a Personal Firewall or Internet Security Suite, it may be preventing our software from completing its download, installation, or startup.

Please confirm that the programs below are not blocked by your firewall:

cstart.exe

cstart-tmp.exe

gvmain.exe

Our applications use ports 80 and 443 only, just like a standard web browser.

  • Antivirus

Please make sure that your anti-virus or anti-adware software is up-to-date and has the latest signature files or virus definitions.

Some anti-virus and anti-adware applications mark all online gaming applications, including our casino and poker software, as a threat.  If the problem persists, most packages enable you to exempt certain programs from their scan.

Exempted applications should include:

Site Name.exe (e.g. Everest Casino.exe or Everest Poker.exe)

cstart.exe

cstart-tmp.exe

gvmain.exe

  • Still unable to connect or register?

- Your ISP

- Your location--are you on a home network, or on a business or university network?

showhide_answer I try to log in but keep getting an invalid password message. What do I do?
You may have entered an incorrect password. Note that the password is case-sensitive. Also make sure that you are entering your username and not your screen name.

Click on the “Forgot your password” link after a failed log-in attempt.  Enter your email address and answer your security question.  You will be prompted to reset your password.  If you have forgotten the answer to your security question, we ask you to contact Customer Service.

showhide_answer Why is my software in English even though I selected a different language?

In order to change the language of the software we suggest that you completely uninstall the program from your computer. Before you do this, copy your game history and your notes if you wish to save this information. You will find these files under:

c:\Everest Poker\history

c:\Everest Poker\notes

After this step, you can download the software again from our website and select your preferred language.  Please note that Chinese, Korean and Hebrew are no longer supported and will default to English.
