Ronny Pickard

When he is not grinding away at the tables on Everest Poker or working as a Key Account Manager for a German bank, Ronny Pickard is also able to squeeze in a bit of time for mountain climbing and even football with a local team. "I'm a real worker", says the midfielder from Munich.

Ronny clearly brings his dedication to work and sports to the poker tables, qualifying for Live the Dream by topping the Summit Point Leaderboard. But it’s not just cash games Ronny excels at. The funny, warm-hearted German describes himself as an all-around poker player.

“I think I am a special species. I play cash games, MTTs, S&Gs, Omaha, and I’ve now even moved into fixed limit games,” he laughs. “As I said before, I am a real worker.”

Ronny first learned poker at the age of 15, playing five-card stud for potato chips and pennies with friends. He has been playing with Everest Poker since the very beginning in 2004, after discovering NLHE on television. “I play at Everest because they give me everything I need from an online poker room.”

Ronny’s dream is to finally play the WSOP Main Event. “I wouldn’t mind being the first German player to make the November Nine, either”, he says. Due to a last-minute conflict, he missed the event in 2009, but nothing is going to stop him this year.

Ronny plans on using his Live the Dream sponsorship to take his seat not only at the WSOP, but in tournaments around the world, evolving his solid online career into successful finishes at the biggest live events.
