Leonard Truche
Well-known online at Everest Poker by the screen name leoledingo, Leo Truche has had a passion for games since he was a kid, but when he and his friends started watching poker on television, they were soon hooked. Four years ago, Leo discovered Everest Poker with a simple "online poker" search and has been a loyal member of the Everest Poker community ever since.
“I play with Everest because of the friends I have made here, and the software is easy to use. It helped me to both learn the game and become serious about establishing my career as a full-time poker player.”
Leo is so skilled as an MTT and Sit & Go player, he actually qualified for Live the Dream twice via the All-France Direct Entry. He also qualified online four times for the Montesino Grand Slam and twice for the SPT Finale in Gran Canaria.
Leo enjoys playing online as much as he does competing in live events. He recently finished third in the Everest Poker $100,000 Guaranteed, and has also won both the $30,000 and $25,000 Guaranteed Tournaments. Since beginning his poker career with Everest, he has also qualified for the WSOP, 2007 EPEC (Portugal) and four SPT events. At the 2009 SPT Valencia, Leo made the final table and finished in 8th place.
“Now that I am a sponsored player, I want to play even more of the world’s biggest live tournaments,” he says. “I want to become a better live player and I want to do it while representing my favorite poker room.”
But Leo isn't all about poker. A former physical education teacher for special needs and disabled children, Leo enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Besançon, France. When he is not at the tables, he can often be found snowboarding and playing handball.
