He swims. He plays basketball and badminton. He is an avid chess player with an extraordinary collection of over 300 books about chess. He also claims the ability to solve Rubik’s Cube in under 60 seconds.

With interests as diverse as his skills at the table, Fabien is ready to live his dream and duplicate his incredible online success at the world’s biggest live events. Only recently did he decide to focus on MTTs over cash games, and it has definitely been a smooth transition.

"I decided to play more tournaments, not just because of the money, but because of the structure, the strategy, and the emotional stake involved with tournament play” says Fabien, who speaks French, German, English, Spanish and Italian fluently.

Although a relative newcomer to tournament poker, he dominated the field and won Everest’s biggest-ever online tournament, the $500,000 Guaranteed – which also included a trip to Las Vegas to watch the WSOP.

“Winning the $500,000 Guaranteed was also a great way to take your first trip to Las Vegas,” says Fabien. 

Proving it was more than a “one-time win”, Fabien returned home and made it to the final table of the Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed. A week later, he won the Winterfest $50,000 Guaranteed.

One can only wonder what sort of impact he will have on international live events scene as a sponsored member of the Live the Dream Team.
