Congrats Steven!

Steven van Zadelhoff is fast becoming a name to remember on the international poker scene. Already a poker celebrity in his native Netherlands, the Team Everest member secured a first place finish and €100,000 at the SPT 2009 Grand Finale on November 29.

In just two years, the Spanish Poker Tour has become one of the top live poker events in Spain and a popular destination for poker players across Europe. Designed by Thomas Kremser and TK Poker Events, the seven SPT 2009 events were a success for both Everest Poker and the Spanish poker community—providing players with an incredible structure and desirable buy-ins.

Throughout the tour, Everest Poker players could qualify for any SPT event for as little as $2 by climbing the Everest Poker Steps. Weekly direct entries guaranteed at least five $2500 prize packages to the next SPT stop, or $5000 packages to the Grand Finale in Gran Canaria.

In addition to Steven’s €100,000 win at the Grand Finale, many Everest Poker players posted impressive performances throughout the tour, including Pablo “Morpheo” Ubierna’s second place finish (€27,400) at the SPT Valencia. In total, 30 Everest Poker players finished in the money throughout the seven-stop tour, winning a total of €311,305.
