Everest Poker Players ITM in WSOP Side Event 56

Welcome to our coverage of the World Series of Poker Event 56!

We started Event 56 of the WSOP yesterday with 30 Everest Poker qualifiers and 5 pro's from Team Everest. Our players started this $1500 tournament among a field of 3,389 hopefuls, all gunning for their shot at the coveted WSOP bracelet.

Day 1 proved to be true poker genocide as only 461 players returned to day 2 for the fight.

The bubble came early in the day putting 5 of our qualifiers, Team Everest's Maria Maceiras and our 2010 Live the Dream winner Viktoria Szilasi in the money.

Viktoria finished the tournament in 263rd place, winning $3,200. Maria Maceiras took home her first WSOP cash of 2011 finishing 171st place and taking home $4,026.

Our Everest Poker qualifier, Yann Roudaut is the last Everest Poker player still standing in the tournament.
