María tried hard to be ITM yesterday. In the last level of the day (Blinds 2K-4K) with a 62K stack, our player went all-in on the SB with K4 and the BB called with A6. The board brought the 4, but also a 6. May was therefore eliminated only 10 positions away from the prizes. VGG and amazing resistance all throughout the day!
Javier Martínez Gil therefore becomes the last player standing from Team Everest Pro and the only one ITM. At the start of Day 3 Javi is sitting at a difficult table with 99K.
In the second level of the day Javi goes down to 90k after losing an 8 BB all-in. The killer hand comes around 15h, when Elflacokanu pushes his 15 BB to the middle of the table with AT from the button and is so unlucky to have the SB and BB also going all-in, with KK and QQ respectively. The board brings no Ace and Javi busts in 63rd position, taking home 20,000 EUR… Very well played Javi!
We are now in the niddle of Day 2, level 13, with blinds 1.200-2.400 and ante 200. 177 remaining players, from which 104 will be ITM. The winner will take home 1,500,000 EUR from a total pot of 6.860.000 EUR.
Javier sat at the TV table for a while, playing a few hands and going up to 98K.

María and Steven are still sitting at the same table. May managed to double up and is now on 63K. Our Dutchman is now enjoying a relaxing massage and takes it easy with his 30K...
After the first break fo the day we start level 11 of the Main Event.
María is down to 23K after playing only 2 hands on level 10. First AJ where she lost 5K and then 77 where she lost around 6K. She doesn´t seem to feel comfortable at the table...

Steven van Zadelhoff, at the same table as María, lost a 150K pot in the last hand of this level, going down to 50K after going all-in preflop with JJ vs QT.

Elflacokanu is the only Everest Team Pro player who now has more chips than at the beginning of the day. His stack is 85K after foling a pot on the river, but doubling up with TT vs AK.

We now have 243 players in the Casino Gran Madrid, at the start of level 11.
686 players paid off 10,600 EUR to play the EPT Grand Final, by Pokerstars. Day 2 of the Main Event starts today and we still have 3 players among the 299 remaining players: May, Elflacokanu and Viktor. We are now on level 10, with blidns 800-1,600, ante 200 and we kick off with a positive attitude:
María Maceiras: 45K
Javier Martínez Gil: 62K
Steven van Zadelhoff: 125K
GL guys!!!
It seems like the change from Monte-Carlo to Madrid did not bring good luck to our Frenchies...
Fabrice busted a few minutes before midnight on Day 1A after going all-in flopping a set, not being able to find interesting spots after the dinner break.
Valentin Messina was out around 22h on Day 1B with the following hand: Raise from UTG to 500, 3bet of another player, that was playing very loose, to 1500, Val 4bet all-in to 6.500. UTG folds, the loose players calls with 67s and busts our French Champion...
However, on the start of Day 2 we still have María Maceiras, Javier Martínez Gil and Steven van Zadelhoff. See you tomorrow guys!
Day 1B of the EPT Grand Final by Pokerstars started off today at noon.
Among the players who came to Casino Gran Madrid we have 2 members of the Everest Team Pro: the Dutch player Steven van Zadelhoff and Frenchman Valentin Messina.

Day 1A of the EPT Grand Finalkicked off today at noon. At the tables of the Casino Gran Madrid we have some of the best players in the World, including María Maceiras and her brother Juan, Javier Martínez Gil,Fabrice Soulier, Leo Margets, Joe Cada (WSOP 2009 winner), John Durhamell (WSOP 2010 winner) and Liv Boeree, as well as Tom Dwan.
Fabrice got to the dinner break with 55K, María finished the last level with 43K and Javi was very short, down to 16K.
May, at the same table as Joe Cada, just before he busted on a board T high with AA, after going all-in, when another player called with T and flush-draw, completing his draw on the river.

Elflacokanu had a roller-coaster day, going up to 50K at the beginning of level 3, going down to 38K after folding a 6-bet all-in, and continued shrinking his stack down to 16 BB in level 8. After the dinner break he doubled up with AA vs JQ. And after a 3 handed pot he doubled up again with KQ vs JQ, so he is now proud to hold a 53K stack.

María started the first levels of the day going down to 10K. In the last level before the dinner break she doubled up with QQ vs A4 on a board A48Q and went up to 21.500. Slowly she managed to get to 34K and just before the dinner break María already had 43K.

In the evening the Highroller Event came to an end. The winner was French player Elky , who took home 500,000 EUR. Congratz!
Welcome to the EPT Grand Final!

The Everest Team Pro will compete in this event, and we are very happy to have here 5 of our most valuable players: María Maceiras, Javier Martínez Gil, Steven van Zadelhoff, Fabrice Soulier and Valentin Messina.
Today, on Day 1A, from noon, don´t miss the action at the tables. We will be updating you about María, Javi and Fabrice´s performance through the blog and the Spanish Twitter and Facebook accounts. If you have questions, don´t hesitate to ask!
