Fabrice keeps chipping up, Antoine short

06-09-10 @ 07:58:21 op Everest Poker

Fabrice Soulier has a tough table with Cyriel ‘DonLimit’ Andre on his right with 1.2 million chips. Fabrice himself has 920.000, which is very healthy with a 400.000 average. Fabrice lost a pot when he raised UTG+3 and a player in middle position 3bets him to 36k. Fabrice called and the Jc9c3h flop went check/check. Fabrice decided to bet out 36k on a 2h turn and got a call. Fabrice bets again 37k on the Jh river, but this time his opponent raises it up to 131k which made our Everest Poker Team player fold. After that loss Fabrice was able to win a lot of small pots which led to his big stack at the moment.

Antoine Saout on the other hand is really short now, with only 80k and blinds of 3k/6k he really needs a double up to be able to play the aggressive game he’s used to.
The last hands have just been dealt and the remaining 55 players will be back tomorrow at 1 pm.
Join us tomorrow to follow the action of our Everest Poker Team players. From Cannes, good night!

Stalling...

05-09-10 @ 13:38:51 op Everest Poker

We were watching Fabrice Souliers table and the action is so sloooooooow. A French player had 12k left (blinds 2k/4k) and took his time for obvious decisions. Finally he moved all in with his 3BB's and online the big blind made the call with 72s. The staller shows JJ and he doubles up...

Koen folds KK

04-09-10 @ 17:02:42 op Everest Poker

After a raise from UTG Koen de Bakker 3bets in the 1k/2k blind level to 12k. UTG calls. The flop is AxJ and both players check. The turn is a blank and now the UTG raiser makes it 18k. Koen folds and drops down to 78k.

After this hand he managed to steal the blinds twice so his stack is 90k, the same as before the dinner break. (For your information; Koen had a hamburger, well done. ;-))

Valentin busted

04-09-10 @ 14:38:38 op Everest Poker

Valentin Messina just busted. The French Champion and Live the Dream player decided to push all in from the small blind with J8. He was already short and the button just called the blind. The big blind unfortunately found 55 and made the call. A 5 on the flop made it difficult for our Valentin and the turn and river gave no help.

Antoine Saout is doing a great job. After hitting a Royal Flush, he won a huge all in with a flush. He's playing almost 300k at the moment!

We lost Sigurd Eskeland

04-09-10 @ 11:31:30 op Everest Poker

After losing a big pot with a flush- and a open ended straight draw on the turn, his last 10k went all in with AJ. Sigurd got two callers and one of them is holding AQ. The flop is AKQ and the turn and river offer no help for our Norwegian Live the Dream player.

Royal Flush!

04-09-10 @ 10:51:15 op Everest Poker

Our November Nine 2009 player hit an one outer.

Antoine Saout plays towards the flop with Ac Tc, the other player checks the flop (Qc Jc Jh) and Antoine decides, after a look at the stack of his opponent, to push all in. The other player shows J9. The turn is a 9 so it looks like Antoine is going to double his opponent BUT...The river is a Kc, the only out for Antoine gave him a royal flush!

We just spoke with Javier Martinez who just made a mistake. Instead of raising the button to 1300 he pushed in a brown 5.000 chip and 3 black 100's. 5300 was the raise, and after some thought the small blind announced all-in. The big blind, famous Dutch player Johan 'bustosoon' van Til announced all-in immediately. Javier decided to fold his jacks and was relieved when they opened their hands and saw A8 and QQ. A jack on the turn made him feel a little worse and Javier has to play on with 21k.

Sigurd Eskeland's comeback

03-09-10 @ 13:10:23 op Everest Poker

"I was down to 16k and now I'm doubled up, so I have to get deep in this tournament, I was almost out!", he said during the break. Sigurd Eskeland found QQ and decided to go all in pre flop; his opponent was glad to call with KK. First card on the flop was directly what Sigurd was looking for, a Q!

After the break we saw this hand:

On a AT7 rainbow board Sigurd bets 2500, the guy on the big blind makes is 7k. Sigurd takes his time and after 2 minutes he raises to 16k. His opponent folds quickly. Will this be Sigurd's tournament again? We'll see!

Partouche Poker: Day 1B

03-09-10 @ 08:19:58 op Everest Poker

Today we will report about the second day of the Partouche Poker Tour Final in Cannes. A tournament with a great structure: 90 minutes levels and a 30k start stack. The players just started with the first level and they will be playing till 4AM (!!). We have a total of 740 players and that means the prize pool will be over 6 million euros!

Let's introduce you to todays Everest Poker Team members and Live the Dream players:

Léo Truche
Well-known online at Everest Poker by the screen name leoledingo, Leo Truche has had a passion for games since he was a kid, but when he and his friends started watching poker on television, they were soon hooked. Four years ago, Leo discovered Everest Poker with a simple "online poker" search and has been a loyal member of the Everest Poker community ever since.

Julien Claudepierre
Like many young players, Julien discovered poker through the film Rounders. “I fell in love with the poker universe, and I wanted to find out everything about the game.” His desire for more information led him to Everest’s play money tables. He also worked as an intern for the online poker school Deuces Cracked in New York City.

Francesco de Vivo
In his first live event as an Everest Poker-sponsored player, Italy’s Francesco de Vivo made quite the impression. On Sunday, February 21, Francesco finished second in Copenhagen, cashing €303,000 ($411,000). Francesco is a beloved player in the Italian community.

Sigurd Eskeland
The 36-year-old father of two from Oslo took a year off from teaching elementary education to become a full-time poker pro. It’s safe to say he made a wise decision. Sigurd claimed his first gold bracelet and cashed $260,497 in the 8-game Mixed Event only six months after being named to the 2010 Live the Dream Team.

Fabrice Soulier
One of the world’s best and most recognizable live event players, Fabrice Soulier brings over a decade of pro experience to Team Everest. Fabrice—known online as FabSoul— has long been regarded as one of the top players not only in his native France, but throughout the world. At the 2009 WSOP alone, Fabrice cashed seven times, made four final table appearances and finished in 49th place at the Main Event ($138,568).

Valentin Messina
In January 2010, Valentin became the Poker Champion of France in the biggest-ever final of the France Poker Tour, outlasting 635 players and cashing €152,000. Following his victory in Paris, he also made a final table at the SPT Aranjuez. He has also won the $10,000 Guaranteed, $30,000 Guaranteed and the $100,000 Guaranteed, and over a dozen packages to live events online with Everest Poker.

Estelle Denis
Our new sponsored player! She is well known in France as a TV personality, but when she's not working she loves to play poker, and with good results! She cashed in the Main Event of the WSOP last year with a 203nd place.
