Side Event #46: $1,000 No Limit hold’em
1,759 players started Day 1A of Event #46: $1,000 No Limit hold’em with 3,000 chips and levels of one hour.
5 of our Everest Poker players have started the tournament; here is a recap of their performance during this Side Event:
Steven Van Zadelhoff
It looks like our excellent Dutch player from Team Everest had a good day. He’s the only survivor from the Team to come back to Day 2!
He’s going to come back on Day 2 with a stack of 30,000 chips and a great motivation to go far on this tourney!
Good Luck Steven!
Fabien Perrot
Fabien was up to 5,500 chips during the major part of the day. Unfortunately, our excellent Live The Dream player who has already cash two side events in Las Vegas, found the way out just after the Dinner Break of Day 1A.
Fabien was down to 2,300 chips just before the dinner break by losing a pot of 14,000 chips. Everything happened preflop when Fabien pushes All In with KK in hand. He’s paid by QQ and unfortunately another Q comes on the turn. Fabien was favorites on this hand but it was not enough and he’s then down to 2,300 chips! Our French player will then shove after the Dinner Break with 46 suited and he’s paid by K9 with a 9 on the flop…
Koen De Bakker
Koen made it to Level 4 (75/150) with double the starting stack: 6,000 chips.
During level 4, his teammate Fabien came on to seat on his right after his table broke. After half an hour the following happened:
Preflop, Fabien in UTG+4 open to 375 and Koen in position UTG+5 call.
The Big Bling mad a raise of 900 and our two LTD players called.
The Flop is 3cKc9h
The Big Blind open to 2,000 chips, Fabien fold is pockets 77 and Koen shoved All In with KQ.
His opponent call and shows pockets AA. Unfortunately nothing will save our excellent dutch player.
Thomas Froslev
Unfortunately Thomas was out after three levels on this very tough tournament. He was All In with pockets QQ and he’s paid by 2 opponents with pockets 99 and AJ. An Ace and a 9 will come on the flop and our Live The Dream Team player will find himself out of the tourney.
