Event #42: $1,500 No Limit Hold’Em

2,521 players entered Side Event #42 today in Las Vegas for a prize pool of $3,403,350 to be shared by 270 players ITM. The players started with 4,000 chips.

Five of our Everest players entered the tournament:

Fabien Perrot

After being down to 5,500 before the dinner break, ShumyFab managed to climb to 10,000 chips without any showdowns! With blinds at 300/600-75 ante and an average of 21,816 chips, our French Live The Dream Team player needed to double up in order to stay alive in the tournament.

Kim Wooka

Kim Wooka managed to stay in the tournament until after the dinner break when she found herself short stacked with 5,500 chips and decided to shove with AsTs. A player in middle position called and showed A9 off suit. Unfortunately for our Japanese player, a 9 will hit the flop and no card will come to save her.

Leo Truche

Leonard Truche from the Live the Dream Team had a stack of 7,500 after the dinner break. One hour after the break, an aggressive opponent raises to 1,025 and Leo decided to shove with As9s. His opponent insta-called and showed pocket A’s and nothing will come on the board to save our French Live The Dream player.

Julien ClaudePierre

During level 3 with blinds at 75/150, Julien discovered QQ in his hands while he’s the Big Blind. Here’s the action:

1. The player in UTG raises to 400 – The cut off call and Julien raises to 1,250 / UTG fold and Cut Off call
2. The Flop is: 7c 3c 3
Julien bet 800 and his opponent shoves for 4,000 with Jc9c
Julien decides to call for his last chips with QQ
3. Unfortunately a J comes on the turn and then a 4c on the river.

Julien is out very early on the tournament after a bad beat on the river.

Antoine Saout

Unfortunately Antoine Saout lost a coin flip and was out in the same time as Julien.

Event #36 : $1,000 No Limit Hold’Em – Antoine Saout & Fabien Perrot In The Money

Of the 3,102 entrants of Event # 36, 3 Everest players have managed to reach Day 2! Go Everest!

Antoine Saout
During the first day, Antoine Saout showed his great game to the 1,109 players entered. He was second in chips during the first 4 levels and he was up to 32,000 chips with the following hand:

One player opens to 600 with one limper, Antoine called the Big Blind.
The flop is: K 8 5
Antoine opens to 1,500 and a player in the middle position called.
The turn is a 7, Antoine checks; his opponent bet 1,500 and our November Nine called.
The river is a 4.

Antoine hits a straight with A6 in hand and he checks, waits for a bet from his opponent … and his opponent falls into the trap and bets 4,000 chips. Our November Nine then pushes all in and he's insta-called by his opponent who shows AK.

Antoine Saout

Antoine started Day 2 with a stack of 31,825 chips, having stagnated during the last 4 levels of Day 1. He reached the bubble with a stack of 30,000 chips and a clear intention to go very far in this tournament!

Antoine will then end in 111th position! He's out of the tournament with a pair of Kings against a pair of Aces and a pot of $2,903. This will be his second ITM so far in 2010.

Fabien Perrot

After he has out lived many of the 1,987 entrants of Day 1A, Fabien begins Day 2 with 13,500 chips and he's quickly down to 8,000 chips. A couple of minutes before the bubble, he paid the all in of his neighbor with Ah Qh against Js 6h, the flop will bring him a flush with 5h2h9h 4c Jd.

Fabien ups his stack to 16,100 and entered the bubble with a nice hand!
SchumyFab ended in 140th position for a win of $2,903!

Fabien

Fabrice Soulier

Despite a very good performance during Day 1A, where he finished with a stack of 31,925 chips, FabSoul goes out just before the bubble with A8 suited in hand against a flush touched in the river for his opponent. We look forward to seeing you in your next tournament Fabrice!

Javier Martinez achieves a beautiful performance in Las Vegas!

Our Spanish player from the Live the Dream Team has just gone out of Event #32, but with an excellent performance overall. The tournament can be played Six Handed - 6 players maximum per table. 568 of the best players in the world entered the tournament for a $5,000 Buy In and 15,000 in starting chips.

Javier began Day 2 with 115 other players with hopes of becoming one of the 55 players In The Money. Despite the fact that he stayed below average all day, our excellent Spanish player managed to reach the 20th seat for a win of $21,036. He finished in front of numerous stars like Phil Ivey, Eric Baldwin and Devilfish to name a few.

All of us here at Everest Poker congratulate Javier Martinez - Winner of the SPT Ibiza 2010 - for his excellent performance in a really tough tournament!

Steven Van Zadelhoff finished 19th in Event #33: $2,500 Pot Limit Hold’Em/Omaha

Steven was very close to a big performance at Side Event #33!
482 players entered the $2,500 Pot Limit Hold’Em/Omaha where 45 players would finish In The Money.

On the second day of the tournament the bubble exploded and Steven was in a good position with a comfortable stack of 88,000 chips.
Unfortunately he went out in 19th position after he pushed all in with AQ against 77, the flop was QT7 and the trips of his opponent beat our Dutch player’s good hand.

Steven cashed out with $7,982 and he’s now ready to take on even more side events.
