Steven Van Zadelhoff finished 13th of the WPT Barcelona
After being the tournament chip leader with 925,000 chips, Steven lost a big pot with AJ against 99 and he was down to 400,000 chips. He had then push down the rest of his chips against two pair for his opponent and find the way out at the doors of the final table.
It's a fantastic course for our Dutch player who reached the semi finals of the WPT Paris and now the WPT Barcelona. He finished thirteenth of the WPT Barcelona and won € 10,000.
We shall find Steven shortly for the 3LT Baden and in Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker.
Update 5:35pm : Level 18
We're at level 18 for blinds at 3000 / 6000, 500 Ante, and there is only 25 players remaining for an average of 195,000 chips.
Steven is still in good position with 335K.
Update 5pm : Steven Van Zadelhoff among the chipleaders of the WPT Barcelona
Steven Van Zadelhoff from the Team Everest is now up to 334,000 chips!
On the first hand just after the bubble, Steven discovers TT and an aggressive player shove all-in for 150,000 chips with 88. Insta Call from Steven, who won the confrontation and he's now up to 334,000 chips!

Update 4.45pm : Steven Van Zadelhoff In The Money!
The bubble has just exploded here at the WPT Barcelona and Steven Van Zadelhoff has a comfortable stack of 184,000 chips. !
He has just changed to a new table and is now seated next to Tristan Clémençon.
Update 4:17 pm : Level 17 - no more than 40 players ...
We're at level 17 (2 500 / 5 000 - 500) and there is only 40 players remaining for an average of 122,250 chips.

Update 3.40pm: : Steven Van Zadelhoff: 175,200 chips
Steven Van Zadelhoff fell to 132,000 chips at the beginning of the tournament with the blinds and aggressive raising of his opponents.
He's on the button when 2 players call the big blind to 4 000 and then Steven raise to 17,000 chips. Everyone fold except one player.
The flop is K K K: both players check
The turn is an 8: Opens his opponent to pay 15,000 and Steven.
The river is an 8: His opponent checks and Steven bet 40,000 chips - fold by the other player!
Steven Van Zadelhoff therefore takes 43,200 chips on this one and set up a stack of 175,200 chips.

Update: 1H00 End of Day 1B
It's the end of Day 1B and Maria Maceiras just experienced three hours of nightmarish hands. Despite the fact that she was at a relatively easy table, she hasn't seen any good cards for nearly three hours and did not have enough chips to take any risks.
She has managed to win some small pots that have allowed her to stay alive but she has ended the day with a short stack of 10,100 chips.
The day ends after 8 hours of play, there are 88 players remaining of the 192 entrants with an average of 32,727 chips.

Update: 21H15 Elimination of Javier Martinez
The tournament recommenced at Level 5 with blinds at 150/300. Sortly after he came back from the dinner break, Javier found himself with a stack of 13,000 chips.
The action started after this flop: Ad 8h 7c.
Javier is big blind and he's in a heads up against Roger Hairabedian who opened to 725 and Javier paid.
The turn is: Qc
Roger bet 2,050 and our SPT Ibiza Winner raised to 6,300.
His opponent then shove all-in and Javier called for his last chips.
Javier showed Q 8 for two pair. Roger will show 7 7 -three of a kind ...
Unfortunately the river will not save Javier who is now out.

In the meantime, Maria Maceiras has almost doubled her stack and now has 15,500 chips.

It's the end of level 2 and players enjoy a 10 minute break.
Maria Maceiras just lost a huge pot of 20,000 chips and finds herself short stacked with her 4,000 remaining chips.

Maria wins 2,100 chips on a first hit with a double pair Q T against the K K of her opponent.
Maria then wins 8,000 chips with a Full House 9 9 J J J against the straight 9 T J Q K A of her opponent with the board A 9 9 T J.
Javier Martinez was in a difficult period. Despite the fact that he had good hands, he's now down to 1, 000 chips. After two unfavorable flops (straight draw and then flush draw)and an aggressive raise from Roger Hairabedian.
