Update: End of Day 2

It's 0:25 and there are no more than 48 players remaining in the second day of the WPT Paris. Day 2 finished 20 minutes before the end of level 11 (1,000/2,000-300) with an average of 154,375 chips.

Steven Van Zadelhoff will be up tomorrow for Day 3 with a stack of 188,100 chips.

We'll kick off our coverage of Day 3 tomorrow at 15H00. See you there!

Update: 21H45

It's the end of level 10, there are 61 players remaining and the average is 121,475 chips. It's now time for the dinner break.

Team Everest's Steven Van Zadelhoff has acculminated 190,000 chips. He's very active at the table and has won a multitude of small pots. He's slightly bummed before the break because no players followed his moderate preflop bet with A A in hand.

We look forward to seeing you in 90 minutes for the rest of the tournament.

Update: 20H30

Steven Van Zadelhoff is still in the race!

We're at Level 10 with blinds at 600/1,200 and an Ante of 200. There are 66 players remaining with an average of 112,272 chips.

There is one hour to play before the dinner break and Steven Van Zadelhoff is going strong with a stack of 129,000 chips.

Francesco De Vivo and Antoine Saout are unfortunately out of the tournament.

Update: 19H40

Elimination of Antoine Saout!

Antoine Saout, after being down to 30,000, lost three major blows that led to his demise.

1. A loss of 6 300 chips against Eric Haik

Antoine opens with 2,500 on the button and he's paid by Eric.
Again with 3,800 on the flop.
Both players checked the turn and the river.
During the showdown Antoine shows A 8 and Eric return 7 9.
The board was as follows: Kd 9h 6s 5d 5h

2. An All In paid with K Q against 9 9

Antoine is in the cut off position and pays the All In of his opponent. Antoine has K Q, his opponent returns a pair of 9's and nothing will help our player on the board.

3. Pocket Tens but no success

Antoine UTG shoves with pocket Tens and he's paid by the big blind with A J.

Our November Nine is out just before the start of level 10.

Update: 18H30

We are at level 9 with blinds at 500/1000 and a 100 Ante. There are 93 players remaining with an average of 79,677 chips.

Antoine Saout is down to 37,000 chips because he folded with a big pot after his opponent shoved All In with A K.

Steven Van Zadelhoff has 120,000 chips and things are looking promising for the next level.

Francesco De Vivo is short stacked with 10,000 chips. With blinds at 500/1,000, this level looks very difficult for our EPT Copenhagen finalist.

Update: 17H00

Antoine Doubles Up!

Antoine Tri-bet preflop with blinds at 400/800, called by Gabriel Nassif.

The flop is Ks 4c 8c.

Antoine shoved All In with a flush draw 7c 3c.

Nassif pays with a trips of 4's.

On the turn a Tc made a flush for Antoine and a Ad on the river changed nothing.

Antoine Saout called the B B of Patrick Bruel in a UTG +3 poistion.

Bruel checks and Antoine has opened with 2,700. Bruel check raise for 7,700 and then Antoine Saout called quickly.

The turn is 2d.

After an initial check of Bruel, Antoine opens with 8,200 and is raised All In by Patrick Bruel.

Antoine Saout folds and finds himself in a difficult position after losing a pot of nearly 17,000 chips.

Update: 15H40

Elimination of Guylbert Drole.

Our Canadian player is out of the tournament, beginning with a short stack, Guylbert called the All In of his opponent on the river for a board: Q 3 J J A.

With an A 8 hand from the short stack position, Guylbert thought that it was the right thing to do but his opponent showed K T and our friendly Canadian player is out early. We expect to see Guylbert in more tournaments and we are delighted to have him on our site because of his good knowledge of the game.
