Update: Level 6, Blinds 200-400
This will be the last level of the day. Tomorrow Fransesco de Vivo, Steven van Zadelhoff and Fabrice Soulier will play day 1B. Let's hope for now that Leonard and Cristiano will get a chance to double up!
Leonard pushes all in UTG + 1, the small blind calls and crushes Leo's 6 6 with T T. No help for our Everest Poker player and he's out. "What a bad day, I couldn't find a hand!" says Leo after.

Two minutes later, we see Cristiano go all in on the small blind. The big blind instantly calls. 7 7 vs A A, no help for our Italian Team Everest member and we lose two of our players in a couple of minutes!
Level 7 will begin the day after tomorrow. We will see Antoine Saout and Guylbert Drolet back in action. But first day 1B tomorrow. Bonsoir!
Update: Level 5, Blinds 150-300
The antes are introduced! We will play today until the end of level 6, so it's going to be a long long night. The average stack is around 42,000 chips so most of our Everest Poker players are playing below the average stack.
Cristiano Blanco is dealt a premium hand, Q Q, but the flop isn't good enough, A Kx. Two players are betting and raising and Cristiano wisely folds his hand. Both opponents went all in on the river and they both showed AKo.
A couple of hands later, we pick up on the action when the board is 6c Jd 3h 3c 2h. Cristiano checks the river and his opponent asks how much he's playing. "Eleven!", he quickly answers. Cris calls the 4,500 bet, but instantly mucks when the other player shows K J.
Antoine is still going strong!
Update: Level 4, Blinds 150-300
Cristiano Blanco wasn’t doing very well, he lost almost 15,000 chips the last three levels...until this hand occured:
Cristiano is the button and bets 700, the big blind makes the call. Flop is 8h 5s 3s. Big blind bets 2100, Cris calls. The turn is a 2h and the big blind moves all in. A set eights is enough for our Everest Poker player to call. He busted the K K of his opponent and almost doubled up!
We lost Maurice Hol. On a 10h Jd 8c As board, Maurice decides to move all in with AJ, his opponent quickly calls with KQ and only an ace or a jack can help our player. Unfortunately the river is a 5c. Good game Maurice!
Leonard Truche lost a big pot in the last hand before the break. He is playing with less than 10,000 chips at the moment.
The remaining 75 players will have a 1.5 hour dinner break. After the break they will play until there are 70 players left.
Chip count:
Antoine Saout: 53,650 chips
Christiano Blanco: 18,000 chips
Leonard Truche: 8,475 chips
Maurice Hol: out
Guylbert Drolet: 17,900 chips
David Colin: out
Update: Level 3, Blinds 100-200
We are down to 100 players. We found David Colin, a regular Everest Poker player, sitting at the same table as Maurice. Maurice lost a huge pot against the player next to him. We picked up the action when the board was complete: 5d 4h Js 10s 8s. Maurice calls the all in of his neighbor with K K. But that’s not enough, because his opponent is holding pocket aces. Our Dutch player has only 10,000 chips left.
Update: Level 2, Blinds 75-150
We lost one player in the first level. After a short break the 105 remaining players are ready to start with the second level.
Chipcount:
Leonard 28,000 chips

Maurice 33,000 chips

Cristiano 28,000 chips

Guylbert 34,000 chips

Antoine 26,500 chips

Day 1A
Update: Level 1, Blinds 50-100
The Aviation Club
The WPT Paris started today with day 1A. 106 players began the day with a stack of 30,000 chips. There will be 7 levels today (or down to 70 players), each lasting 90 minutes. Cristiano Blanco, the Everest Poker Team member from Italy, is always a bit scared to play the first level, but he couldn’t resist himself and played the last 20 minutes of the first level today.
Next to Cristiano's table we find the French Live the Dream Team player Leonard Truche. The optimistic guy isn’t very happy with his table: “Pfew, this is a hard table!” he says.
Another well known Dutch poker player on Everest Poker, Maurice Hol, is doing fine in the first level today. On a 8d 2s 7h 3d board, he raised an older man who instantly folded his hand. Go Maurice! (Afterwards he told us that he was holding pocket aces in that spot.)
