Update: Bubble
We're down to 19 players and have finally reached the bubble of SPT Aranjuez.
Our very own Catarina Santos was the first to move all in with Q's and was called by AJ. After a long and tense board Catarina took the hand down, doubling up. Catarina beat the bubble and is 1 of 2 Everest Poker pros still standing. Steven van Zadelhoff is still in with a big stack.

Shortly after Catarina doubled up Pablo Ubierna went out on a coin flip.
Update 2:30 :
Level 14
Blinds 1200/2400
Ante 200
Average 89,000
The Everest pros have been dropping like flies since the dinner break. Sigurd Eskeland, Tobi Wagner, Javier Martinez and Cristiano Blanco are among the Everest players out of the tournament.

Cristiano commented about his play, "I felt really good during day 1. I was very proud of the way I played. Unfortunately today I didn't catch any cards and was on a very tough table (with other Everest players Sigurd Eskeland and Pablo Ubierna)". After a long battle Cris went out in 25th place with Q's all in preflop against AK. There was a K on the flop and no luck for our Team Everest stallion.
Steven's Rise to the Top:
Our 2009 SPT Champion and favorite Team Everest Dutchie Steven van Zadelhoff has climbed his way to the top of the Main Event here in Aranjuez, taking chips from anyone in his path, including his Everest Poker teammates Javier Martinez and Catarina Santos.

With a couple of significant moves Steven ended play before the dinner break with 180,000 chips. His first big move was against our Portuguese pro Catarina Santos. Steven won a coin flip with a pair of J's again AK doubling him up from 45K to 90K. Don't worry about Catarina, she has managed to climb her way back to 40,000 chips and is still very much in the game.
Steven's second big pot was against Live the Dream Team member Javier Martinez. Steven flopped a set of 4's against Javi's 2 pair with A8. Javi is also still in the tournament with 20,000.
After the dinner break the 38 remaining players will start level 12 with blinds of 800/1600, ante of 200 and average chip count of 63,000.

Cristiano Blanco is happy with his stack saying, "It feels good to be above average. I will continue to play my game and hopefully make to the final table tomorrow."

After being knocked out of the tournament early in level 1, Koen de Bakker has joined Everest Poker's own Olaf Schimpf and Marco Trucco for commentary on the live stream.

Cristiano Blanco found himself next to our good friend Luis Ubierna. Luis started today in 4th place with 52,000 chips.
