Phil Ivey Loses A Key Pot

08/11/09 @ 01:29:18 am by Katie

Ivey takes a hit

Phil Ivey opens for $1.25 million from middle position. Small Blind, and short stacked Joe Cada moves all in over the top of Ivey for roughly $5.8 million.

Ivey thinks for a long time, nearly 5 minutes, before putting Cada at risk with a call.

Showdown:
Ivey: As-8c
Cada: 4h-4d

Cada looks genuinely concerned, while Ivey is well, Ivey, and shows little emotion.

Board: 2d-10s-3h-9c-7h

Ivey losing this put moves him to the shortest stack at the table with a little over $10 million, while Cada has battled back from the extremely short stack to hold nearly $13 million in chips.

Though are hearts here at Everest Poker are strongly with Antoine Saout, you can't help but want Ivey to remain at this table as well. We will keep you updated on how things progress as the next blind level approaches.

Cada Celebrates as his 4's hold up!
