Moving On Up

With the pot he took from Lacay, Antoine Saout has moved his was into third place on the chip leaderboard. He has crossed the $10,000,000 chip mark putting him only slightly behind Phil Ivey and Billy Kopp.

Nick Maimone opened for 210,000 from middle position, Ludovic Lacay called from the cutoff and Antoine Saout called from the big blind.
All three players checked the Ah Ks 5c flop. When the 6d hit the turn, Saout led out for 480,000. Both Maimone and Lacay called. The river was the 9h and Saout bet 1.1 million. Maimone folded and Lacay called.
Saout showed 7h 8h, hitting a runner-runner straight to shatter Lacay flopped top two pair with As Kc. Lacay angrily threw his cards into the much as Saout raked in the pot. Saout is up to 10,060,000 while Lacay fell to 4,150,000.

Here is a hand recount for you.
Antoine Saout opened for a raise from early position and Billy Kopp called from the big blind.
The flop was Kc 8c 6h and Kopp checked to Saout, who bet 375,000. Kopp raised to 850,000 and Saout called. The turn came the 3h and Kopp checked again. No check-raise this time-- Saout's small bet of 775,000 was enough to lose Kopp and he raked in the pot, taking his stack up to 8.3 million.
