Voitto was just eliminated from Event 56 but wins over $10,000.
Details Below:
Voitto's Final Hand:
After being blinded down, the following hand came up:
With the blinds at 1,500- 3,000 Voitto is in the big blind. Phil Hellmuth calls 3k, seat 5 calls, and the small blind completes the action to 3k. This was the first pot I had seen the whole time without a preflop raise. Voitto checks his BB option, and the flop comes out 7c-4d-5h. Voitto checks, Hellmuth bets out 10k, the other two limpers fold.
Voitto then check- raises all in, for about 28k on top of Hellmuth's 10k. Before Hellmuth acts, Voitto tells him
"You know I got you beat...." to which Hellmuth replies "If you have 7 6 you are in bad shape."
Hellmuth calls, flipping over 8h-7h. Voitto shows Qd 7s, and he has Hellmuth dominated. The 4c hits the turn, giving Hellmuth additional outs, as now a King or Ace would split the pot, and a Six or Eight would win it outright for the Poker Brat. The 6s hits the river, giving Hellmuth a straight, 4-8. Voitto can only muster two pair, Sevens and Fours, with a Queen kicker.
Voitto will take home $10,163 for his efforts.
Voitto sharing a table with Phil Helmuth makes the money in Event 56. He is short stacked but a good confidence boost before the Main Event.
928 started 88 still standing.
Voitto 'RandomEyes' Rintala has been waiting for some time for a playable hand. When it looked as if he finally got what he was looking for, he raised the 2k big blind to 5,300. After a flop of Ah-Jh-Js, Voitto fired out a bet of 6,500, to which his opponent instantly folded.
