Team Everest Pro Kim 'IceBeer' Wooka Eliminated from Event 54

wooka1

Here is Kim Wooka's Bustout hand from the $1500 NL event #54:

Finding herself shortstacked with few big blinds to work with in her stack, Wooka pushed all in. Her opponent thought long and hard and clearly was concerned that his hand might be dominated, but nonetheless made the call, showing 77.

Wooka then flipped up AK offsuit, and a classic race was on. A suspenseful flop of 4-Q-J hit the felt, giving Wooka numerous outs, including any A, K, 10, or running cards. Unfortunately, an anticlimactic 7 hit the turn, giving her opponent a set of trips, and leaving Wooka drawing dead to a 10. The river was a 4, and Wooka was eliminated by a full house, sevens over fours.

But...she's $3,500 richer!

Frank Muller: Interesting hand ends in a chop

muller1

Frank Muller raised 3,800 pre-flop. The big-blind raised him back, and Muller called.

FLOP: 6d-Qc-10c

Muller calls, and his opponent checks.

TURN: Ah, and everyone checks.

RIVER: Jd. Big bet and a Call.

Muller shows the strong hand with Ks Jh, but it’s only good enough to tie when the big blind shows AcKc.

Team Everest Pro Kim Wooka doubles up

kim1

Kim Wooka's stack started to get a bit short, and she is not one to lay around and wait for the action to come to her, so she brought the action!

We picked up this hand preflop:

Kim Wooka moves all in short-stacked on the button over-the-top of a limper, and the limper calls after the blinds got out of the way.

Kim: K-T offsuit
Opponent: 5-5

Flop: 9-3-Q rainbow

Turn: Beautiful jack!!!

River: x

And Kim Doubles up and gets back into contention.
