EPEC Finalists; Largely Young!

23/04/09 @ 10:57:10 am by Ed

With two weeks to go before the third edition of the Everest Poker European Cup (EPEC) we now have the 204 lucky qualifiers who will be spending May 8th – 11th in the 5* Chia Laguna Resort on the island of Sardinia.

Players country:
Austria: 8. Belgium: 12. Denmark: 4. Germany: 29. Spain: 12. Finland: 3. France: 54. Hungary: 11. Italy: 23. Netherlands: 18. Norway: 2. Poland: 7. Portugal: 7. Sweden: 6. Switzerland: 8

Very little research has been carried out on the size of live poker players! Everest Poker asked players for their required shirt size and the response suggests that poker players are, shall we say, ‘larger’ than average! 64% of the 204 players requested Large or Extra Large with a further 9% opting for XXL.

T-shirt sizes:
Small 8%, Medium 21%, Large 30%, X Large 32%, XX Large 9%

Age: 18-24: 25%. 25-34%. 35-44%. 44+ 16%

The EPEC Finale is designed to give amateur poker players their first taste of a major live tournament with players qualifying from all over Europe but it is Sweden who have won the first two titles. We also have entrants from Poland, Hungary and Finland for the first year, the French are best represented with 54 players.
