End of Day
We will have two Everest Poker players coming back tomorrow for Day 3.
Kim "icebeer" will return with 76,000 in chips and Julien, who made a great come back doubling up with A's and then again with AK will be back with 193,000.
Good luck tomorrow!
Update 20:30
We're at level 13, blinds are 1200/1400 with an ante of 200 and average chip count is 138,000.
Kim "icebeer" is now up to 120,000. She just took down an aggressive SB when he raised, she reraised and he reraised her again. Kim was not willing to back down, so she went all in. The SB folded and Kim took the pot.
Julien is also still in, but with a very small stack. Hans "tooren" is out after a steady downfall over the course of the day.
Update 19:00
Sander "Berndsen12" is out. Everest Poker's youngest representative at the EPT Finale was going strong until level 10 when his luck began to turn. Unfortunately Sander went out on a coin flip. Better luck next time Sander.
We have three remaining players in the tournament; all are on dinner break at the moment.
Chip Count:
Chip Average: 95,776
Hans "tooren": 54,000

Sander "Berndsen12" is down to 60,000 after losing AK suited against 10's.
Julien is now up to 88,000 and Hans "tooren" is steady with 48,000
Update 14:30
We are now up to level 10 and blinds are at 600/1200 with an ante of 100.
Four of the Everest Poker qualifiers are struggling at the moment.

We hope to see you again soon Christian!

With two weeks to go before the third edition of the Everest Poker European Cup (EPEC) we now have the 204 lucky qualifiers who will be spending May 8th – 11th in the 5* Chia Laguna Resort on the island of Sardinia.

Very little research has been carried out on the size of live poker players! T-shirt sizes:
Small 8%, Medium 21%, Large 30%, X Large 32%, XX Large 9%
Age: 18-24: 25%. 25-34%. 35-44%. 44+ 16%
The EPEC Finale is designed to give amateur poker players their first taste of a major live tournament with players qualifying from all over Europe but it is Sweden who have won the first two titles. We also have entrants from Poland, Hungary and Finland for the first year, the French are best represented with 54 players.
Congratulations to the April 21st winners!

He didn't make it to the final table, but he finished very close to it! Our last qualifier, Rasmus Akerblom, went out on 13th position, when his KQ did not improve against his opponent TT. Very good job by our player which at a certain point of the tournament today was second chipleader but lost most of his stack on a coinflip.
This 19 year-old Swede has a lot of time to prove his talent in the next tournaments. 35.400 Eur for him anyway. Well done!
Our Swedish qualifier, Rasmus Akerblom is still in the tournament while we're down to 13 players to EPT Sanremo.
He's very short stacked but he's waiting for the perfect spot to push his last 150k.
WELL DONE SEBASTIEN - he has gone out in 26th place taking home 21,700 euros after a great few days at EPT San Remo.
Rasmus is high on the leader board and looks good for a final table spot.
Merci bien, Seb
Everest Poker qualifier Rasmus Akerblom DOUBLES UP on the feature table & now has 931,000 chips. Rasmus & Seb all the way, boys, all the way.
Rasmus is now 2nd in chips as he follows his double up by kicking out a Finn. 29 players remain.
Another final table beckons for an Everest player...

Rasmus Olof Akerblom from Sweden 499.000 chips
Sebastien Bidinge from France with 206.000 chips
Lars has gone out with 11,300 euros. He held JJ and went all-in to a raise. His opponent followed suit with Qh-10!
On the flop another J for Lars - easy, no? NO! On the river his opponent hits a Heart Flush with his Queen.
Mathijs & Sebastien were the all-in against EACH OTHER:
Sebastien with 88, Mathijs with 77. No help on the board leaves Sebastien with 300,000 chips (average at 230,000). Mathijs is very happy though - he won 12,500 euors and it cost him $33 to qualify!
We also have Rasmus Akerblom from SW with 190.000

Everest Poker will match the WSOP Main Event winnings of their qualified players up to $1,000,000…and share it with all those qualified…even if you busted out early! Based on last year’s figures that would mean all 62 Everest Poker players – regardless of how quickly they were kicked out – would have netted $20,000 EACH!

There are many ways you can qualify for the biggest prize in world sport (over $9,000,000 last year) but only with official WSOP sponsors, Everest Poker, could you go home richer even if you lose.
You can qualify for the WSOP Main Event with Everest Poker from as little as $3, visit http://www.everestpoker.com/en/wsop/2009/ for details.
