Everest breaking new boundaries - again

Once again Everest Poker have taken things to new heights, this time quite literally. A poker tournament took place in an igloo village in Austria on the Kitzsteinhorn at 2,500 metres above sea level.

All 10 finalists of the Volvo Ice Camp qualifiers met last Friday in Kaprun Austria for a last warm and comfortable night before taking the "Glacier Express" the next morning to go skiing. In the afternoon all players arrived at the igloo village to be taught how to survive the rigors of life at this altitude.

A quick dinner on the ice table, a short hike to get the blood flowing & then the final table itself.

The first player eliminated was the Autrian Rapper DephJoe, he got a wild card for the finale table as well as former Miss Austria Tanja Duhovich.

The model played great poker and left the tournament in 3rd place after taking a bad beat calling the All-In against eventual winner, Jürgen Molnar, who showed A-4 while Tanja showed A-10. Another 4 on the turn gave the poker journalist 'two pair' and after that he had no problems against online qualifier Adi Hainzl playing heads up.

Jürgen won a package to a WSOP side event in Las Vegas while Adi was happy with an Everest branded Burton snowboard.

After a long party at the ice bar the overnight stay in the igloos was the exiting end to a very unique poker tournament.
