Update 04:00 am
Level 10 (500/1000/60): End of day 1 after 10 levels played and Peter Pihlstroem, our last online qualifier, is still in the tournament. After another big loss with A-K (this time against Aces) he was down to 4.500 chips. "I believe in magic" were his last words before he went all in with his favorite hand 9/10. His opponent called with A-Q and the flop showed 8-Q-4. After the ace on the turn there were only four "magic cards" left in the deck. Finally the jack on the river brought Peter the straight and took him back in the game. There are 21 players left, the average is about 17.000 and Peter is going for the final table tomorrow at 07:30 pm local time.
Update 02:30 am
Level 9 (400/800/60): Carlos Miranda is out and finished on rank 30. He was in the small blind and went all in with 8-6 suited and 4.000 chips left. His opponent had nearly the same amount of chips and called with A-9. Carlos lost against a pair of aces and was out. Peter Pihlstroem is still in, although he lost a big pot with A-K against 7-7. With about 16.000 he has still more than the average.
Update 01:30 am
Level 8 (Blinds 300/600/40): 40 players remaining in the tournament and unfortunately two more Everest Poker qualifiers are out: Hugo Maria had to push all-in with A-4 as he was shortstacked and had no luck when his opponent showed A-K. The same happend to our Dutch guy Ewoud Te Nijhus, when he pushed all-in from the button with 9-9 and got called from Peter Pihlstroem who had pocket kings. Peter is now in the top 3 with about 18.000 chips and Carlos Miranda is looking for a hand to double up with about 3.500 left.
Update 11:30 pm
Level 6 (Blinds 100/200/20): Level 6 just started and our first Everest Poker qualifier is out. Michael Guardia had Q-Q and went all-in when the flop showed three low cards. His opponent had K-K and won. Michael finished on place 53. After the add-ons the average chipstack is about 7.000. Peter from Sweden is one of the chipleaders with 15.000.
Update 10:00 pm
Level 4 (Blinds 50/100): All Everest players are still in but Hugo Maria did already re-buy because he lost all his chips with an overpair (Q-Q) against the set of his opponent. The average stack is about 3.000, Carlos and Peter have about 5.000 in Chips, Michael and Ewoud are about average. There will be a short break after Level 4.
Update 8:30 pm
Level 2 (Blinds 20/40): Each player has the possibility to re-buy within the first 4 levels. So far none of our players used that option which means that they might get an additional 3.000 chipstack after level 4.
