GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!
Cristiano Blanco has just been eliminated from the tournament by Kenny Hicks Jr. in a hand that Cristiano will not forget for some time.
Cristiano Blanco is the Bubble Boy of the EPT Polish Open in Warsaw. He got busted in 33 place with a real bad beat. He opened the pot with a 13,000 raise from under the gun and the action folded around the table to the small blind, who re-raised it to 40,000. Cristiano flat called, leaving himself 50,000 chips behind.
The dealer spread a jack-high flop and the small blind moved all in, putting Cristiano to a decision for all of his chips. Holding pocket queens, Blanco made the inevitable call and the small blind showed A-K. Cristiano's queens didn't survive the Turn, as the dealer opened an Ace.
The last card to fall off the deck was a six and Cristiano was out of the tournament in 33rd place.
Everest Poker is extremely excited to introduce some of newest enhancements. I know you have been waiting for a long time for them and here they are! This is a long post but it is worth to read it!
Tournament Leaderboard (TLB):
This is an exciting new feature which will create a competition among our best and most frequent tournament players and pay out significant prizes to the winners.
The TLB will rank our top tournament players based on TLB Points earned. TLB Points are calculated using the number of tournament entrants, finishing place, and tournament buy-in using the following equation:

Example: You participate in a $10+1 tournament with 150 players and take 3rd place:

We have created three separate Tournament Leaderboards :
1. Multi-Table (rewarded monthly): Includes all Scheduled Tournaments + Sit & Go tournaments with >= 30 players
2. Sit & Go High (rewarded weekly and monthly): Sit & Go Tournaments with pot contribution >= $10 and participation < 30 players
3. Sit & Go Low (rewarded weekly and monthly): Sit & Go Tournaments with pot contribution more than $0 but less than $10 and participation < 30 players
Freerolls, Private Tournaments, Free Chip Play, and tournaments with Summit Point prize pools don’t count towards the TLB include
We will award Summit Point Prizes to the top 10 finishers on each leaderboard. The monthly SNG High winner will be credited with 200,000 SP.
Each leaderboard will be displayed on our website and will be updated daily. You can also be able to view your TLB points from the “View TLB Points” button from the “My Account:” button in the EVP lobby.
More Sit and go !!
We have added a list of new Multi-Table SNG’s :
o 18 seats (6 seats * 3 tables)
o 30 seats (10 seats * 3 tables)
o 54 seats (6 seats * 9 tables)
o 90 seats (10 seats * 9 tables)
o 120 seats (6 seats * 20 tables)
o 150 seats (10 seats * 15 tables)
In addition to Multiple Tables, SNG’s can now be run with a variety of types. These include:
Rebuy
Rebuy + Add-on
6 Seat
Turbo (decreased blind intervals)
Speed (decreased decision time limit)
Deep Stack (2,500 starting chips)
To make it easy to distinguish between the different types of tournaments, we will have separate icons as well as a "Tournament Type" Legend to demonstrate to players what the different symbols mean.
Ring Game Enhancements:
We have also released some new features that ring game players will enjoy. There are 2 new ring game table types:
1. Speed tables. This is a table with shortened (15 second) decision timers.
All speed tables are also No-DBP tables. Speed tables will initially be offered in 6 seat tables at the following stakes: $.10/$.10, $.25/$.25, $.50/$.50, $1/$1, $2/$2, $4/$4.
2. No-DBP (tables without disconnect bet protection).
The Beginner Stakes No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha tables are becoming No-DBP tables. Also, No-DBP Tables are being created for all 2-seat and 6-seat No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha tables.
In addition, you can now play in up to 12 tables at the same time. Lots of players requested this increase, and so we upped the maximum.
Cristiano is enjoying the dinner break at The EPT Polish Open with 80,000 chips to his name - with the average at 72,000.
51 players remain and the payout is down to 32nd.
Amazing scenes in Warsaw as Everest Poker's Cristiano Blanco rides his luck.
Cristiano with AQ and his opponent with 10Q - the flop reveals 10QQ...
...but the turn give Blanco the A! Blanco remains.
At the end of Level 10 of Day 2 at The EPT Polish Open, presented by PokerStars, Everest Poker's Cristiano Blanco has 58,000 chips with 83 players left in the tournament.
At the chip count he lay in 20th of the 83.
GO ON CRISTIANO!
Some big names busted out of the EPT Polish Open, presented by PokerStars, yesterday and our Everest players were among them. Francis Lamothe, playing in his first major live event, now has the taste for the big tournaments and is determined to be back.
Our Finnish player Voitto Rintala pushed 66 in round five when short stacked and got called by JJ with no help on the board. Michael Schlesinger and Filipe Moreira were also out in a day of surprises.
Jan Stefan Smolarczyk, from France, is hanging in there but is short stacked with 2600 chips so he joins Cristiano in Day 2. Well done Jan Stefan.
Cristiano has 28,800 chips.
Those with a taste for the big time, remember: Everest Poker is the only site who can directly register players for the WSOP!
The EPT in Warsaw, brought to you by Pokerstars kicked off today. Six Everest Poker Qualifiers and our pro, Cristiano Blanco, will start in The Polish Open.
Today (Day 1A) Cristiano Blanco and Italian Everest Poker Qualifier, Robert Binelli, will hit the felts. Binelli is well know in Italian poker circles and is good friends with Cristiano - good luck boys!

Tomorrow Filipe Moreira from Portugal, Voitto Rintala from Finland, Michael Schlesiger from Germany, Francis Lamothe from Canada and Jan-Stéfan Smolarczy from France will take their chance in the Everest colours. We will keep you updated from the Casino in the Hyatt Hotel, Warsaw.
22:55h:
Level 6 is finished and the next level is level 7 with blinds at 200-400 and an ante of 50. Cristiano Blanco and Robert Binelli are at the same table. While Cristiano is with almost 15,000 chips on average, Robert is small stack with a little bit more than 3,500 chips.
22:55h:
Robert Binelli is out in position 130 of day 1A. He was holding A-Q and met A-K in the big blind. No help on the board and the Everest Poker player was eliminated in this EPT.
23.50:
Day 1A is over and 76 players are left out of 190 starters. Cristiano Blanco played a good day and will come back for day 2 on Thursday with 28,800 Chips. The averag is at 25,000.

As Everest Poker’s Live The Dream competition, where ten real players will become poker pros & brand ambassadors for a year, nears its finale the selection panel can be revealed.
The chosen 200 will all now head to Palais Auersperg, Vienna (March 29-30) where they will have to impress our formidable international jury with both their poker skills and their personality.
Everest Poker has scoured the Continent and created a jury that have seen all facets of the poker world – the good, the bad and the ugly.
Everest Poker are proud to unveil their impartial, international team of selectors as:
Thomas Kremser. Thomas, 38, is one of the most respected faces in European poker, as well as overseeing the last two Everest Poker European Championships he is a regular European Poker Tour Tournament Director. A resident of Vienna, Thomas, has over 12 years experience in poker and his reputation means his decisions are never questioned!
Alberto Russo. Alberto, 31, is one of the founders of the Texas Hold'Em movement in Italy. He was Editor of the first Italian poker portal and then launched Card Player Italia as Editor-in-Chief. Recently, he has switched his attention to TV presenting and is a regular on EPT Live so he knows about both the game & presentation skills.
Bruno Fitoussi. Bruno, 49, has an incredible poker mind – beating the great Amarillo Slim in 2001 on his way to being crowned World Heads-Up Poker Champion and last year was 2nd in the $50,000 WSOP H.O.R.S.E Event. With nearly $2,000,000 of live tournament winnings to date he is respected far beyond his native France - so players beware - not much gets passed Bruno.
