European Poker Tour Barcelona - day A1

264 players started today at the European Poker Tour Barcelona. (Starting chips stack is 10 000).

Among these 264, we had our Italian Champion Cristiano Blanco, the French "smalmike" (Michael)from the famous club Marseille Hold em and Pakito from the Equipo Everest (the rest of the team will play tomorrow).

Cristiano and Smalmike,

Cristiano, after 2 hours and 10 minutes, got kicked out from the Tournament by David Williams (In 2004, David Williams won $3.5 million for his runner up finish at the WSOP main event and $573,000 for his runner up finish at the WPT). Cristiano held 6-6 and flopped a set. He indeed made a big bet but was put him all in by Williams who showed A-A. And as you can guess, a third As was dealt on the river.

Pakito won a nice pot just before the end and will start his second day with 30700 chips which position him 31st for day 2.

The French smalmike (Michael) played very well but small stack toward this end he had to move all in with 10-J and met 10-10 and got no help on the board, he is out in 118 position.

103 players survived day 1A.

Day 1B will start at 17.00h local time and the big stars (Marcel Luske, Isabelle Mercier, Greg Raymer…) are expected to enter the Tournament tomorrow.

The Pretty "May" from the Spanish Team and our Dutch player Erik ("erikzamboer") will start tomorrow.
