WSOP side event # 49

06/30/07 @ 08:36:22 pm by Sandrine

3200 players participated to the side event 49 (they were less than 500 last year), making it the biggest WSOP event ever outside of the Main Event.

The level is impressive and player have to double their stack fairly quickly. Some of our Everest Poker players have succeeded doing it but others couldn't.

Our Canadian player "grosyves" lost with pockets Aces versus Poker Kings.

The French player “jujumalo” after increasing his stack ran into a very bad beat and loose his tournament to a flush ace high (he had the king)

Jujumalo,

We still have many players still in course. More news soon

WSOP - side event #49 - day 1

06/30/07 @ 01:47:34 pm by Sandrine

And here we are, day 1 of the side event #49, more than 2500 players for this $1500 buy-in event are expected; the WSOP is crazier than ever this year.

As expected our 39 Everest Poker players are very excited, we had a great welcome party last night at the Palms. It was very fun; as you can imagine the main topic was… poker. Players exchanged their tips and experience. The ambiance among the players is excellent.

The tournament will start @ 12. Every player starts with 3000 chips and the starting blinds are 25/50.
