Live at the EPT in Baden!

The Everest Poker team has arrived at the EPT in Baden, and it is a tremendous event. Held in the beautiful spa town of Baden, Austria, this tournament has attracted many of the elite European poker pros, as well as numerous online qualifiers. 7 Everest poker players are playing in the event, including 5 who chose to play in this tournament after winning an “EPT Winner’s Choice” tournament.

Over 300 players total are in the tournament, with some entries still coming in late. The prize pool is expected to approach €2 Million…hopefully some of that will come home with Everest Poker players!

4 Everest players started on Saturday, with the remaining 3 starting on “Flight B” Sunday. After Day 1, German player Balloo is the lone player remaining. He will start day 2 with just over 20,000 chips.

Dutch player ahman was eliminated midway through Flight A. Shortly after losing half of his chips when he lost a post-flop coin flip (he missed his 12 flush and straight outs), he was sitting short stacked when he found 66 preflop. He had thought he was in luck when he found an unthreatening flop of 2-3-8. But his all-in was called by Q8, and ahman was sent home.

More recently, Austrian local trsst was eliminated. Sitting similarly short stacked, he had his top pair run into a flopped set, and trsst was sent on a (short) ride home.

Late in the night, German player felixoscar was eliminated in a similar hand. His pair of 8's unfortunately ran into QQ, and the shortstacked German was sent to the rail.
