We are pleased to announce the first annual Everest Poker European Championship (EPEC) open to European poker players of all levels.
The EPEC will take place in 7 countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Denmark, and Sweden from March to June 2006. In addition, www.everestpoker.com will hold online satellites for all European countries.
Through these events, 100 players will qualify to represent their country in a European Championship finale which will take place on 09/09/2006. Everest Poker is offering up a prize pool of €50,000!
Since its inception, Everest Poker has believed in getting involved with poker at the local level. After sponsoring the France Poker Tour and the German Poker tour in 2005, Everest Poker realized the importance of creating live events for amateur players and beginners to experience the thrill of live Texas Hold’em and gain experience to compete at bigger, international tournaments on the World Poker Tour, European Poker Tour, or World Series of Poker.
Please visit www.everestpoker.com/EPEC for more information.
Less than 2 hours into the start of Flight 2 of the WPT Championship, the Everest Poker team is off to a strong start! Nicola82 is leading his table in chips with over 80,000 (starting chip stacks were 50,000). And go-juge has increased his chip count as well, up to 55,000.
The tournament staff has just announced that 606 players registered for this tournament, creating a giant $15 Million dollar prize pool. The first place finisher will take home $3.7 million - let's hope it's an Everest Poker player!
